Antoni Gaudi was one of the most famous Catalan architects dead in Barcelona in 1926. Figurehead of Catalan modernism, 7 of its works have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Thanks to its extraordinary creative capacities Gaudi was dealing with both structural and decorative questions. He was taking care of all the details mixing techniques like ceramic, glass sculpture, ironwork or carpentry with architecture. He even invented its own technique named Trencadís, a type of mosaic created from broken tile shards.

Mainly inspired by nature and religion, its work has become the symbol of Barcelona and one of its main touristic assets as people come from the all world to visit the Sagrada Familia, the Güell Park, the Batlló House or the Pedrera.
