The Guggenheim Museum is a modern and contemporary museum in Bilbao which was inaugurated in 1997. It is part of the 5 museums of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Its innovative structure was designed by the architect Frank Gehry in a spectacular “Deconstructivism” style that made the building famous in the entire world and built the reputation of the city of Bilbao.

Among the greatest artworks of the museum, we can quote the gigantic sculptures of Richard Serra, the installations of Jenny Holzer, the spider “Maman” of Louise Bourgeois or the giant flower dog of Jeff Koons, “Puppy”. The temporary expositions of the museum often change and are very eclectic going from the Chinese or Russian art history to the modern art of the 20th an 21st centuries.
